Shepherd Church is seeking a reliable and experienced Line/Prep Cook to join our Pillars Cafe team! We're passionate about providing high-quality food in a welcoming environment—and we’re looking for someone who shares that commitment.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing dishes according to established recipes and upholding the highest food safety and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic cooking techniques, be comfortable operating standard kitchen equipment (grill, oven, fryer, etc.), and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
  • Strong working knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety
  • Availability to work weekends
  • A valid Food Handler’s card

As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance, and repair of our facilities, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and welcoming for all who visit and attend. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of various trades, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining the mission of Shepherd Church.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a service industry role or skilled trade
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, basic tools, and the ability to work with ladders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, dependability, and a positive attitude
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently and be part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform physical labor indoors and outdoors
  • Familiarity with safety practices and basic building systems

Non-exempt, part-time position requiring flexibility to work various shifts, weekdays and weekends, between 7:00AM - 9:00PM.
